“Democracy on the Brink”

Pulitzer prize-winning author and Harvard professor Annette Gordon-Reed for her conversation with Chris Lehmann in Forum Magazine. A lot of insightful thoughts were shared in this. Still, this one stood out for me in particular, “And so focusing in on the presidency, and by extension the Supreme Court—the presidency being important because of the Supreme Court—became a Democratic mantra. But the rest of it is just not important. And we see what that has brought.”
